Students must also perform 30 blood draws. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Students will complete 204 hours of clinical medical assistant externship, plus 40 hours of EKG or 10 live electrocardiograms performed by the student or by shadowing a physician. This program will prepare the student to work competently in all three disciplines. The national exam for Clinical Medical Assistant, Electrocardiogram Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and IV Technician, will be paid for by the school as part of the students tuition.
